Jessica Hanson AMFT
My name is Jessica Hanson. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist from Worcester, Massachusetts. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Hampton University in 2013. Soon after, I relocated to California to make a fresh start in a place where my interest in psychological care could be nurtured.
After some time and careful deliberation, I determined that Clinical Psychology is where I find the most fulfillment and most closely aligns with my goals. I pursued my masters degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy and graduated in 2017.
My objective is to provide support and a safe space, helping individuals and families work through their struggles with therapeutic and somatic techniques relative to their situation. My approach includes the exploration of life experiences impacting your daily life and relationships, the development of positive coping methods, emotional support, conflict resolution, and a positive self-image.
My clinical experience stems from a diverse group of settings including but not limited to school-based therapy for children Pre-K to 8th grade, therapy for couples, teens, and adults, crisis stabilization therapy, and substance abuse counseling. My modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Strength-Based, Gottman Method, and Choice Theory.
I look forward to collaborating with you to identify your needs and goals. Together we can examine what is important to you and your everyday life as we build upon your strengths to navigate life’s challenges.
